Bespoke Training

The delivery of any good training course can only take place with well prepared trainers and a solid, well put together set of training materials.

With a comprehensive background of creating training materials for a number of industries, Nuts and May is able to provide additional resource or a single stop shop for the creation of bespoke training solutions and have partnered with Icicle Development Ltd in order to deliver a wide portfolio of training solutions.

All of our training materials are created around an agreed Terms of Reference, with regular review points and capacity built into the project for modifications.

Examples of our work

The portfolio of training project's developed and delivered by Rob Sloggett has been achieved in a wide range of roles and opportunities. The highlights below showcase the range and versatility of this experience.

Skills to Foster - "Skills to foster" is used by the majority local councils as a pre-application information course. It provides potential foster carers with the information to allow them to make an informed decision about whether they wish to proceed with their application. As well as assisting Flintshire Children's Services run their training course 3 times a year, Nuts and May has also created a bespoke set of trainers notes and additional exercises that allows social workers to hold the course with the minimal amount of preparation time.

Microsoft Project - Just one of the standard desktop productivity tools that Rob has had the opportunity to develop an "in-house" 1/2 day training course. This allowed colleagues to quickly utilise its functionality without the heavy cost of external training courses or time drain of self learning.

Disability Awareness - Developed specifically for Flintshire Children's Services, the 1 day disability awareness course was commissioned to provide foster carers with no experience of disabilities an insight into some of the skills they may require as they embark on this very rewarding branch of fostering. Whilst no two children are alike, general subject's such a dealing with unclear communication and how to deal with the possible challenges of social acceptance were included.

ITIL Awareness - Nuts and May is NOT an accredited ITIL training provider and there are a large number of organisation who are able to provide this at very competitive rates. Where Nuts and May has been able to add value is in creating a very high level awareness briefing as a preamble to organisations sending staff on external courses. By providing this introduction early on, attendees are able to absorb formal training much quicker, which in-turn translates to higher first time pass rates!
