Now established in its second re-write, the Skills To Foster course created by The Foster Care Network has rapidly become the standard pre-approval training course for prospective foster carers. Based around a competency standard framework and contributing directly towards evidence for the delegates "Form F", this 3 day training event provides a solid platform to allow new carers not only to decide whether fostering is for them, but also gives an insight into the different types of foster available.

The team and Nuts at May have over 4 years experience in assisting Flintshire Children's Services run the course up to 4 times a year and has also created bespoke trainers notes for their social workers, allowing them to pick up the course and deliver it to new carers with minimal preparation time.
