The approach of Nuts and May is straight forward, in that small set of skills have been identified and developed which are then made available to businesses as required. No retainer or minimum term is required and rates are negotiated based upon the flexibility of the approach. All work is carried out in the evenings or weekends and it is by utilising this "spare capacity" that Nuts and May are able to offer very favorable rates. We would never commit to a piece of work that we could either not deliver or would put us in conflict with our full time employer as it is their goodwill that has allowed this business to operate the way that it does. That aside, we have continued to maintain a steady flow of work so something must be working.

April 1996 - Freelance Training Services - FLT (Sole Trader) - Specifically aimed at the NVQ assessment, FLT was set up as a sole trader business, to allow Rob Sloggett to utilise some of his spare time to develop his training skills. Contracted to two NVQ service providers in the South West of England, a wide portfolio of students were assessed in the areas of retail, customer service and Nebsm Management up to level 4. A following contract was achieved in 2001 with the Institute of Logistics and Transport as a distance learning tutor for the ILT Certificate and Diploma.

2006 Goitil Ltd - Following the completion of the ITIL's managers certificate and a regular engagement with Flintshire Children's Services to deliver part of their corporate training program, the sole trader business was converted to a Limited Company under the company name of "Goitil Ltd". A service management web site (www.goitil.co.uk) was set up with the aim of introducing IT Service Management principles to SME's.

Nov 2009 Nuts And May Ltd - In recognition of the fact the IT Service Management was only a small part of the service offering being delivered by Goitil Ltd, a decision was made to re-brand the limited company with an identity that was not restricted to a single principle or offering. This was carried out via companies house and registered company 5808734 was formally changed to Nuts and May Limited.
